Child safety concerns
If an Edu Space student (or their parent/guardian) or staff member (volunteer or paid) hears about or suspects that an Edu Space staff member (volunteer or paid) or the Principal/Executive has caused or is causing, or is likely to cause harm to a young person they must report it.
Use these forms to report what you have heard or what you suspect to the Principal of Edu Space or if the concern is about the Principal or an Executive, to the School’s Governing Body.
These forms will cause a notification to be sent directly to the relevant person at Edu Space.
Reports of “Harm Caused by a Principal/Executive” will be sent to the Governing Body
Reports of “Harm Caused by a Staff Member” will be sent to the Principal
Details of your report are stored in a location accessible only by:
the Principal and Quality & Business Manager for reports about Edu Space staff members (volunteer or paid)
the School’s Governing Body (board of directors) if the report is about the Principal or an Executive of Edu Space
Any reports of child safety concerns, where the known or suspected perpetrator is not a staff member or principal/executive of Edu Space should be made:
By calling triple zero (000) if it’s an emergency or if you believe a child is in immediate danger or in a life-threatening situation.
By making an online report to the Department of Child Safety, Seniors & Disability Services either online using their report form
By calling the Department on 1300 682 254 (or the after hours service on 1800 177 135)
Refer to the Department’s website for more information about reporting known or suspected child abuse.
All other feedback or complaints about Edu Space or any of its students or staff that is not about a child safety concern (e.g. known or suspected harm caused by a staff member/the Principal) should be lodged by using the relevant Feedback & Complaints Form.
